We received some wonderful submissions for our first Share Your Story initiative. Thank you to all those who wrote to us!
As a product of this initiative, our next batch of products will be featuring vibrant paper flower bouquets. Flowers are universally loved for expressing emotion and carry meaning beyond words. BanaGloo’s handcrafted paper version will demonstrate our creators’ delicate paper-folding techniques and be a gift for everyone to cherish forever.
Winning Story
Our storyteller, Shambhavi Upadhyaya, won this round’s submission. Her story describes her mother receiving a bouquet of flowers from a school's cancer event, and how, even though it was the most beautiful thing she had set eyes on that week, it wilted within two days!
Would a long-lasting gift have felt more treasured?
“Most people probably think flowers are cool,” Shambhavi writes to us in her submission. “But a DIY flower bouquet that lasts forever is even cooler.
I'd be tickled pink if I got to pick from a variety of pretty handmade bouquets that require no painting skills!"
Shambhavi is a fine artist by profession and is based in Mumbai, India. Elaborating on the actual handcrafted product, she envisions "just tons of colorful crepe paper for the flowers themselves, loads of twist ties for the stems, and pretty pastel sheets or a ribbon to wrap them together with!".
Keep an eye out on our Shop for the next several product drops, where we'll feature the paper flower bouquets as our latest inspired piece!
